Personalize your mobile app by creating a custom domain name!
Set Up a Domain Name
First, you will need to find a domain you like. You can do this by using Instant Domain Search.
Once you’ve found an available name, you can set up your custom domain by using a third party domain registrar. You will need a Domain Name Registration, most likely for a period of 2 years. Common third party registrars include Go Daddy, Hover, and Network Solutions.
Create a CNAME Record
Log in to your domain registrar’s website, and find the DNS management page, or similar area of your control panel.
Here you will make a new CNAME record that points your new domain to our website.
Usually, you should see three fields: “Alias”, “Type”, and “Points To/Destination”.
Under "Alias", enter your URL prefix (i.e. 'www' ).
Under "Type", put 'CNAME'.
Under "Points To/Destination", enter "my.wbxapp.com".
Set Up Domain Mapping
Log in to Widgetbox.
Go to your Mobile App.
Under the "Distribute" tab, you will see a field labeled "Custom Domain URL".
Click "edit", enter your new custom domain name, and "save".
Note: this feature is only available to Diamond-level mobile apps.
