Unfortunately all of our templates are in Flash, and because of this they will not work on devices like the iPhone or iPad. If you're looking to create something that will work in these environments I'd recommend building a mobile app with is HTML5, not flash.

Will this be changed in the future, this is terrible and you need to fix this. PLEASE!!!
I submitted a support question about this 3 days ago with no reply yet.
I have been a Pro user for years and your pricing is just not affordable for me to change my widgets to a mobile app for each widget.
Not happy
Leah - this isn't something that can be easily fixed. Apple product such as the iPhone and iPad don't support Flash, which is the primary reason why our widgets don't work. Switching to something other than flash isn't really a viable option. I'm terribly sorry about that.
Is their a simple way of changing this code into HTML ?
I find no use for my subscription any longer. It is very annoying that your service is not compatible with iPad and iPhones... I will not be renewing my subscription. Been struggling with this and waiting for a couple years now. It is time to move on.
It is frustrating that your technology uses only flash. Given the fact that more and more folks are moving to accessing data on iPads, iPhones and Android, it may behoove you guys to move away from Flash or else you will lose customers and be left behind in the dust. Flash is dying.
I AM GLAD THAT I READ THIS. I WAS ABOUT TO SIGN UP.
HOW DARE MORGAN SHERWOOD SAID THAT THEY USE FLASH ONLY, AND IS SORRY.
DON'T BE SORRY! FIX IT !

REALLY?
THEN LOOSE ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS WHEN IT BECOMES TOO LATE.
WHO DO THINK THAT YOU ARE CATERING TO?
YOURSELF?
OR THE PEOPLE WHO BUYS THE PRODUCT?
THINK REAL CAREFULLY ABOUT YOUR RIDICULOUS ANSWER.
There is already an alternative with FeedBurner and BuzzBoost. The disadvantage for the average user with these is that the output needs to be styled. Widgetbox could remain useful if they move to an iframe or javascript embed, with a tool to generate the necessary CSS for page headers. Look and feel will end up being MORE customizable and useful to users. As it is now, as soon as I finish coding, I'm outta here. Sorry...
Morgan, now that Adobe has made the decision to abandon Flash Mobile, what are your plans?

Unfortunately this will become a show stopper for our many widgets (and clients we support) also. If you are not going to make a change in the future to your service to support iPad, we are going to have to start migrating all our clients to something else. Very unfortunate because we like your widgetbox service.
yes — I hope there will be a non-Flash option soon too :)
Instead of getting beat down by this crowd, why not add a swfobject tool that allows the iF**ls to drop in their swappable content? Ever try to make video for non-flash devices? you will curse Jobs as you create three versions of every video that used to get handled by just one. If you created a SwfObject tool in the widget maker, it would allow users to drop in the non-flash content as a block of code. To some degree, if they are paying attention, they can already do this if they use your developer tool for widgets and do some code work.
If you want non-flash content with the same functionality, you have to work for it....it takes code and effort to replicate what flash can do if you don't use flash...., you need to deal with the fact that its either swapped in JS (jquery and other methods might get you "some" of the interactivity of flash) or a dumbed down user experience. Until somebody invents "flash with no flash" you can't just expect drag and drop solutions that are exact copies of what you can do with the real thing. Flash is butter; js is margarine. There are just some things you can't cook right with margarine, even though it might be marginally better for you ; ) pun intended.
Despite all the protests, the company sells a mobile line of products, so don't expect them to drop in options that make that product line offering moot....last I checked they were a for profit business. it would be nice for you guys if they incorporated the swfObject functionality that swaps in non-flash content automatically, but you still gotta work to create that alternate content folks or settle for plain vanilla implementations of your feeds, videos and other content.
Wow i just get my trial, but didnt know it doesnt support The most Popular mobile devices out there...
Cancelling my trial.
Shame the product does not support HTML5. Lucky I checked I was just about to buy a subscription. Anyone know where I can buy a poll widget which works in HTML5?
Does anyone in WidgetBox have anything to say about this? It would be great if you could tell us if you're working on this issue or if this will be a possibility in the near future. Thanks!
Yes, this is dumb, dumb, dumb. My mobile traffic has doubled for each of the past few years and all the signs are that this trend will continue. Widgetbox will simply not survive unless you support Apple mobile devices. It's that simple. As things stand right now, I don't see how I can continue with Widgetbox.
Damn it, i wish i had read this before signing up.
Does anyone from Widgetbox respond to these questions regarding IPAD/IPHONE issue? This is something that really should be high priority for them.
Time to abandon the ship, I geuss...!?
