Are there limits on the types of widgets I can build?

When displaying a widget, you can do just about anything that HTML allows. But because our security model requires that most widgets be served within iframes, you don't get the automatic style and resizing that the widget would otherwise have.

I've noticed that once I've custom sized my widget and applied a published change to the install, I'm still only seeing the narrowly sized widget on the site where I've added the widget. Is there something I can do to enlarge the widget on my site?

P.S. I'd like to start other free widgets: 1. videos downloaded from my computer onto blogger that will be used in a widget on a website and 2. podcasts downloaded from audacity onto blogger and accessible via a widget on a website. How do I get started?

Thank you,
